Requirements
What you need to volunteer with Anjuman Sharie Shian in Srinagar: basic eligibility, values alignment, and simple steps to join faith-driven community service, events, education, and welfare programs under Aga Syed Mohammad Hadi Kashmiri.
- Age: Generally 16 years or older (younger individuals may join supervised family or group activities with parental/guardian consent)
- Residency/Location: Open to residents of Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, and individuals from other areas (local preference for on-ground roles at Imambada Bemina and community events)
- Good Character & Conduct: Must demonstrate honesty, respect, modesty, peaceful behavior, and alignment with Islamic ethical values
- Commitment to Core Values: Willingness to uphold principles of justice (‘adl), compassion (rahma), moral guidance, empathy, and selfless service to humanity (khidmat-e-khalq)
- Physical & Mental Fitness: Able to participate in assigned tasks (reasonable accommodations considered for individuals with disabilities)
- Respect for Guidelines: Ready to follow local laws, event protocols, Anjuman instructions, and maintain peaceful conduct during all activities
- Confidentiality & Reliability: Commitment to handle sensitive information with care and communicate availability honestly
- Learning Mindset: Openness to guidance from scholars, community leaders, and senior volunteers
