On the solemn occasion of the 28th of Safar, marking the tragic demise anniversary of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH), and the martyrdom of his beloved grandson, Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (AS), a grand and spiritually uplifting Majlis-e-Aza was organized in Iskanderpora, Beerwah.

Hosted under the esteemed banner of the Jammu & Kashmir Anjuman-e-Shari Shian (Shariat Abad, Yousuf Abad, Budgam), the gathering witnessed the participation of thousands of devoted mourners who came together to express their heartfelt grief and pay tribute to the Household of the Prophet (Ahlulbayt).

Spiritual Sessions and Tributes The proceedings of the Majlis commenced early at 9:30 AM and were thoughtfully structured into two sessions. The first session featured deeply moving Marsiya Khwani presented by the renowned Zakireen of the Anjuman. As the call for prayer echoed, the mourners united for the congregational Zuhr and Asr prayers, reflecting the core Islamic values of devotion and unity. Following the prayers, the second session continued with beautiful elegies and tributes offered in the honorable court of the Prophet (PBUH) and the Imamat.

Keynote Address by Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Mohammad Hadi Al-Moosavi Al-Safvi The pinnacle of the Majlis was the profoundly impactful sermon delivered by the President of J&K Anjuman-e-Shari Shian, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Mohammad Hadi Al-Moosavi Al-Safvi.

In his eloquent address, Aga Sahib drew the attention of the thousands present to the unparalleled life and teachings (Seerah) of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Connecting historical Islamic principles with the modern world, he provided a comprehensive analysis of the current global political climate.

Key highlights from his address included:

• The Path to Global Salvation: Aga Sahib categorically stated that humanity’s salvation from the deep crises and turmoil of the modern era lies exclusively in strictly adhering to the Seerah of the Prophet (PBUH).
• Solutions for the Ummah’s Challenges: He stressed that the multifaceted political and intellectual challenges confronting the global Muslim Ummah today have a single, definitive solution: a return to the Holy Quran and Prophetic teachings.
• A Call for Unity and Awakening: Emphasizing the critical need for internal unity, brotherhood, and mutual tolerance, Aga Sahib urged the Ummah to foster an intellectual and spiritual awakening to stand resiliently against oppressive forces worldwide.
• The Political Insight of Imam Hasan (AS): Shedding light on the life of Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (AS), Aga Sahib brilliantly analyzed the Imam’s historic peace treaty. He explained how Imam Hasan (AS) exercised unmatched patience, political foresight, and perseverance during treacherous times to safeguard the true essence and survival of Islam.

A Solemn Conclusion The deeply moving gathering culminated with the Ziyarat (viewing) of the Shabeeh-e-Taboot (symbolic coffins) of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (AS). Tears flowed as the mourners paid their respects. Traditional Matami Dastas (mourning groups) formed circles, echoing the skies with Sina Zani (chest-beating) and Noha Khwani (elegies).

The grand Majlis-e-Aza concluded with the highest levels of devotion, reverence, and organizational excellence, leaving the attendees spiritually rejuvenated and deeply connected to the message of the Ahlulbayt (AS).
