Eid-ul-Adha 2026 Observed Across Kashmir; Agha Syed Mohammad Hadi Leads Grand Congregation at Bemina Imambargah

SRINAGAR: On the sacred occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, Eid prayers were observed across the length and breadth of the Kashmir Valley today with profound religious devotion, fervor, and reverence. Organized under the supervision of Anjuman Sharie Shian Jammu and Kashmir, large congregations were held at various central locations, drawing thousands of devotees of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) to offer prayers and seek divine blessings.
Grand Eid Congregation at Ayatollah Yousuf Imambargah, Bemina
The largest gathering of the day took place at the Ayatollah Yousuf Imambargah Shariah Fazlullah in Bemina. The Eid prayers at this central venue were led by the President of Anjuman Sharie Shian Jammu and Kashmir, Agha Syed Mohammad Hadi Al-Moosavi Al-Safvi. Thousands of believers converged at the Imambargah, standing shoulder to shoulder in a powerful demonstration of community unity, brotherhood, and spiritual solidarity.
Spirit of Sacrifice, Patience, and Obedience: Eid Sermon
Immediately following the concluding prayers, Agha Sahib delivered a comprehensive Eid sermon to the gathering. In his address, he elaborately expounded on the core spiritual essence of Eid-ul-Adha, highlighting the timeless and unparalleled sacrifices of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS).
Agha Syed Mohammad Hadi emphasized that Eid-ul-Adha is not merely a ritual, but a profound lesson in sacrifice, patience, absolute obedience to Almighty Allah, and selfless service to humanity. He noted that these fundamental Islamic values serve as an essential guiding light for the Muslim Ummah, especially during today’s challenging contemporary times.
Hajj: The Ultimate Symbol of Islamic Unity
Extending his thoughts to the global Muslim community, Agha Sahib paid tribute to the millions of pilgrims performing Hajj in the holy land. He described Hajj as the ultimate and most magnificent symbol of unity, brotherhood, equality, and piety within the Muslim world. He remarked that the gathering of Muslims from every corner of the earth on a single platform provides a practical, living example of Islamic oneness that transcends geographic and cultural barriers.
A Call for Peace, Harmony, and Intellectual Awareness in Kashmir
Towards the conclusion of his address, Agha Syed Mohammad Hadi expressed profound grief and sorrow over the recent tragic incident at Galwanpora, Budgam. Condemning the occurrence, he stated firmly that such heart-wrenching tragedies should never find a place in Kashmir again.
“Kashmir is historically the sacred land of Sufis, saints, peace, and love. There must be absolutely no place for hatred, violence, or brutality on this soil,” Agha Sahib emphasized.
Closing his sermon, Agha Sahib passionately appealed to the general public to actively promote social harmony, mutual brotherhood, moral values, and community awareness. He specifically called upon the youth to elevate their religious and intellectual consciousness. He urged the younger generation to dedicate time to studying the profound scholarly, ideological, and revolutionary literature authored by the Martyred Leader, ensuring that a legacy of knowledge and truth guides their future.
